Many
activities are made available to our residents; that is, if they
wish to
take part in them. If some wish
to be couch pototoes, that's
okay, too. Our Clubhouse
Association offers numerous
ways for residents to stay busy or just
have a good time.

One
of our most popular activities is bingo, which is held once a week
in our clubhouse.

Our
swimming pool is a very popular activity for those who want to stay fit, or just socialize.
There are also Pot-Luck suppers. These
give our residents a chance to display
their favorite dishes or to experiment
with some
new culinary skills.

Every Wednesday at noon our residents enjoy hamburgers and
hot dogs at the clubhouse. Once a month our Rosary group meets at a resident's
home. Our Red Hat Society plans outings to restaurants and various places of
interest. This group also holds High Tea once a month. Our Association also
sponsors an annual craft fair and yard sale.
And special dances are held during various holidays, such as Valentines
Day, Halloween, etc.
During the Christmas holidays, our residents enjoy Christmas tree trimming, a gift exchange, and caroling. Many volunteers decorate the community entrance, the clubhouse and the clubhouse Christmas tree.
Moultrie Oaks publishes a monthly 4-page newsletter, along with a calendar of events. An Advisory Council meets once a month. The purpose of the Council is to provide a means for residents to present their concerns, grievences, or suggestions to management.
The Clubhoue Association meets once a month. The Association is dedicated to making life in our community as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. The Association is governed by a board of officers, elected each year. To futher enhance living at Moultrie Oaks, several committees help serve the needs of our residents. These include the Helping Hand, Bereavement, and Welcoming committees.

While our residents enjoy the many activities offered in our park, they also find numerouis and diverse things to do in the local area.
St. Augustine has some 50 antique shopes.Two shopping malls are within a couple miles of Moultrie Oaks, and two prime outlets plus Cobblestone Village are all within a short drive. Many different shops are found on historic St. George Street in downtown St. Augustine, where visitors from around the world come to view and buy the almost unimagiable array of merchandise.
Many churches covering a variety of denominations are near at hand. For those who enjoy golfing, St. Augustine offers six courses within a short drive of Moultrie Oaks. Other courses, a little further away, include the links at World Golf Village, and Ponte Vedra.
There's plenty of places to fish. With the Atlantic Ocean on one side, the St. Johns River on the other and lots of creeks in between, anglers have a wide choice of saltwater or freshwater fishing, while watching pelicans and storks ride the winds. The Intracoastal Waterway provides additonal locations.
For residents who would like to sightsee, where history comes up to shake their hands, there's plenty to choose from. Too numerous to include here, we might mention, however, the Alligator Farm, Ripley's Believe It or Not, San Sebastian Winery, the Fountain of Youth, Potter Wax Museum, the Lightner Museum, and the Museum of Weapons and Early American History. A ride in the horse-drawn carriage is not to be forgotten.
There are hundreds of restaurants to satisfy the most fastideous pallet. Ethnic eateries of almost every kind await those who enjoy a variety of foods.
And finally, there are many salt water and fresh water boat ramps for those who love the water. With over 25 miles of sandy beaches. St. Augustine offers an almost unparalleled opportunty for swimming and enjoying our sub-tropical sun.
